Community Collaboration
Building on the collaborative framework established among the U.S. Departments of Education, Health and Human Services, and Justice, the Albuquerque Safe Schools Healthy Students Initiative has established a mandated Core Management Team to develop partnerships, policies and procedures necessary to acheive the objectives in the grant.
Areas of Collaboration:
- Pilot system change across agencies
- Enhance coordination of referrals and tracking of outcomes to better serve children and youth
- Cross-training
- Engage youth in pro-social activities
- Highlight approaches that work
