Community Collaboration

Building on the collaborative framework established among the U.S. Departments of Education, Health and Human Services, and Justice, the Albuquerque Safe Schools Healthy Students Initiative has established a mandated Core Management Team to develop partnerships, policies and procedures necessary to acheive the objectives in the grant.

Areas of Collaboration:

  • Pilot system change across agencies
  • Enhance coordination of referrals and tracking of outcomes to better serve children and youth
  • Cross-training
  • Engage youth in pro-social activities
  • Highlight approaches that work
